The Odyssey Trailer Parody

Text on the meme

THE ODYSSEY DIRECTED BY CHRISTOPHER NOLAN

What it means

A dramatic parody trailer shows a young boy in improvised black armor wandering through a sunlit desert, approaching and climbing into a large dark object. The clip then cuts to title cards announcing “The Odyssey” and “Directed by Christopher Nolan,” humorously presenting an ordinary child’s desert adventure as an epic Nolan film. Linkin Park’s intense alternative-rock song “What I’ve Done” amplifies the mock-serious, cinematic mood and makes the contrast funnier.
