Chainsmoker Cat Movie Montage

CHAINSMOKER CAT OPENING TRAINSPOTTING (1996) BLUE SPRING (2001) Footloose (1984) KIDS (1995) THE USUAL SUSPECTS (1995) THE BREAKFAST CLUB (1985) FIGHT CLUB (1999) FAREWELL, FRIEND (1968)

A rapid montage pairs an anime cat-girl opening with iconic smoking and dancing scenes from films including Trainspotting, Blue Spring, Footloose, Kids, The Usual Suspects, The Breakfast Club, Fight Club, and Farewell, Friend. The joke is that the anime character’s exaggerated chain-smoking, dancing, kissing, and wild expressions are humorously matched to increasingly recognizable cinematic moments. The clip is set to Wasureranneyo’s “Nannmonee,” whose energetic Japanese rock mood and driving music make the comparisons feel like an absurd, dramatic opening sequence.
