Do Not Trust Federated Social Media

If you have been SOLD the concept of "federated" social media by Government Operations like Mastodon or Bluesky, DO NOT FALL FOR IT. They are called "federated" because they are made by THE FEDS, who will have access to even MORE of your personal information. Avoid

A dark-mode social media post jokingly claims that federated platforms such as Mastodon and Bluesky are secretly made by “the feds” to collect more personal information. The punchline is a paranoid literal reinterpretation of the word “federated,” turning a technical concept into a conspiracy joke.
