Windows Users Trying to Disable Bing

Windows users trying to switch off Bing: Old windows search bar Here's exactly what you wanted, with its location woof New windows search bar Files.. what are files.. want me to search with Bing? Comments Is there any way to turn Win10 searchbar able to search files @qusgustafbraun yes! Open the windows registry editor (you will need admin privileges) navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search" right click in the right side and select "New > DWORD (32-bit) Value" call it "BingSearchEnabled" and make sure it's value is 0. After restarting your computer it will no longer search Bing and instead actually search your computer!

The joke mocks Microsoft for replacing a simple useful feature with unwanted web search integration; the comments add a complicated registry workaround to disable Bing.
