Criminals Using Sophisticated Car Theft Tools

Criminals have been using sophisticated tools to steal cars. And Canadians are rightfully worried. Today, I announced we are banning the importation, sale and use of consumer hacking devices, like flippers, used to commit these crimes.

A screenshot of a social media post by Canadian politician François-Philippe Champagne announcing a ban on consumer hacking devices such as Flipper Zero devices, which can be used in car theft. The joke comes from the exaggeratedly serious political announcement and the implication that ordinary hacking gadgets are being treated as criminal tools.
