Apple Takes 30% of the Internet
Given that Apple also controls all browsers on iOS, why stop with native apps with the 30% claim? Why not apply that to the whole internet too? After all, Apple built the computer that accesses that internet. Are they not entitled to get 30% of everything downstream from that?!
A screenshot of a post by DHH argues sarcastically that if Apple deserves a 30% commission from native apps, it should also take 30% of everything on the internet because Apple built the computer accessing it. The joke exaggerates Apple’s App Store commission logic to absurdly broad consequences.
