The Xorg Cold Storage Backup
I am going to keep using Xorg for decades even after it is removed from every major distro and I will join whatever "Xorg as a retro system" community appears and continue to daily drive it with hardware and software that is still compatible with Xorg and I will use whatever Firefox fork is still compatible with Xorg and when that stops receiving updates I will get hacked but the hacker can't make me switch to Wayland because I will have Xorg in a cold storage backup and I will restore my system from that and I will have to just keep doing that anytime I get hacked so you can all try to hack me and install Wayland on my computer as the challenge while I try to keep removing it and reinstalling Xorg
A screenshot of a social-media comment describes an absurdly determined Linux user who plans to keep running Xorg for decades, even after major distributions remove it. They imagine hackers repeatedly compromising the computer and installing Wayland, only for them to restore Xorg from a cold-storage backup and reinstall it again, turning the desktop-server preference into an exaggerated endurance challenge.
