Whenever the king needs a trim, soldiers storm the town looking for a new barber. And this time, a poor boy gets chosen. His mother is heartbroken. All she can do is pack him three small pies for the road. Soon, the boy arrives at the palace, face to face with the king himself. No small talk, no greetings. The king removes his crown and reveals a horn growing out of his skull. Terrified, the boy pretends nothing's wrong and carefully cuts the king's hair. The king is satisfied. He tells the boy to take gold from the box, but as soon as the boy opens it, wham! The king pushes him in. There's no gold, just a dark pit with a raging river below. The boy is swept away, but miraculously he survives. When he opens his eyes, he's surrounded by bones, piles and piles of skulls. Then, a noise from beneath the bones, a giant ancient serpent emerges, thinking fast the boy plays his swanah.
