What it means

A screenshot shows a colorful historical map of Sussex divided into areas called rapes, above a dark encyclopedia-style entry defining the term. The joke comes from the surprising modern meaning of “rape” contrasted with its old administrative meaning, making the map and factual explanation unintentionally absurd as a meme reaction to awkward or shocking wording.
