The Boss Feels the Pain

The Boss Look at this scar. The Boss Nothing at all. The Boss No hatred, not even regret. The Boss And yet sometimes, at night, I can still feel the pain creeping up inside me. The Boss Slithering through my body, like a snake...

A cinematic Metal Gear Solid scene shows The Boss revealing a scar and speaking solemnly about pain moving through her body like a snake, while Snake watches. The dramatic monologue is paired with mournful music, making the scene feel intensely tragic and melodramatic; the joke comes from the overly serious delivery and the literal “snake” reference to Snake.
