Cartoon Sheriff Sleeping on Jail Keys

This how cartoon Sheriffs be sleeping with the jail keys dangling out of their pocket within arm's reach.

A heavily sleeping man lies on a hospital bed with his enormous belly nearly touching the edge of his pocket, where imaginary jail keys would be easy to grab. The joke compares his careless sleeping position to cartoon sheriffs who leave jail keys dangling within reach of prisoners. It is used as an absurd reaction to careless security or an obvious vulnerability.
