USA Players Hear Down Under

USA players hearing the Australian national anthem

A young man stands in a kitchen as if attending a solemn ceremony, placing his hand over his heart, clapping, and then standing at attention while looking serious. The joke treats Men At Work’s “Down Under” as the Australian national anthem and imagines American players dramatically showing respect when they hear it. The upbeat folk-rock music makes the exaggerated patriotic performance even more absurd, so the clip works as a reaction to anything unmistakably Australian.
