The Lighthouse Subway Surfers Split Screen
The unique aspect ratio of The Lighthouse (2019) was deliberately chosen so a Subway Surfers video could be viewed beside it and fill the full 16:9 frame
A black-and-white scene from The Lighthouse shows two sailors beside a wooden crate, while a Subway Surfers gameplay video runs alongside it. The joke falsely claims that the film’s unusual aspect ratio was designed to accommodate Subway Surfers, parodying split-screen meme videos and absurd explanations for cinematic choices.
