The Nothing Happens Cycle
THE NOTHING HAPPENS CYCLE They find a new virus The media spreads it People think it's going to be a new pandemic People freak out Nothing happens They forget
A grayscale illustrated face is surrounded by red arrows showing a repeating cycle: a new virus is found, the media spreads it, people fear a new pandemic, panic, nothing happens, and everyone forgets. The joke mocks recurring pandemic scares and the public’s tendency to overreact before quickly moving on.
