React Ecosystem Decision Paralysis
The FE ecosystem if you're building something interactive like a dashboard feels kinda fucked right now...if you're in the react ecosystem, react core making this hardcore pivot to RSCs. for whatever reason next got first dibs, so if you want to handle this insanely complex new paradigm next is kinda the only people who can do it, and pain in the ass to use next outside vercel (maybe open-next isn't a pain?). then you have remix who are going to play catch up and have rfcs out to add RSCs, but i dunno if i want to just wade through them figuring all of that out inside remix. then outside react you have solid, which fundamentally looks awesome, but solidstart's been in beta forever and dunno if it's totally ready to go. im less familiar with stuff outside of react/solid...sveltekit honestly looks kinda cool but if it's being developed inside vercel i'd imagine deploying it is gonna be more annoying on aws. nuxt seems cool too but as far as i can tell they're also pivoting but in solid's direction, so i'd get benefits of a framework but underlying they'd be transitioning to solid, which is already "there" but doesn't have a mature meta framework...then astro looks so cool but doesn't seem like right choice for a heavy spa. honestly i feel like the react core team is fucking everything up but i dunno maybe misreading the situation
A dark-mode chat screenshot shows a long, anxious message about choosing a frontend ecosystem for an interactive dashboard. The writer compares React, RSCs, Next, Remix, Solid, SvelteKit, Nuxt, and Astro, concluding that the React team may be making everything unnecessarily complicated. It is shared as a reaction to overwhelming framework churn and decision paralysis in web development.
