Smithing the Cat Into a Blade

Text on the meme

Gnomes Don't hit her So cruel i am smithing her into a mighty blade

What it means

A sleepy cat rests against someone’s leg while a toy hammer is held above its head. The joke is that the cat is supposedly being forged into a mighty blade, while others react with mock concern. This meme is sent as an absurd reaction to harmless but exaggerated violence or chaotic crafting.
