Girls and Boys With Time Machines

Text on the meme

Girls with time machine: I'm your granddaughter Wow, really? Cool! Boys with time machine: Do not call it a Trie

What it means

A four-panel comparison shows a blonde girl and a dark-haired goth girl reacting warmly to meeting a descendant from a time machine. The boys' version shows a bearded armed wojak facing a grainy portrait of an older man, with the caption “Do not call it a Trie,” parodying a hostile or cryptic time-travel encounter. It is used as an absurd reaction meme about the very different ways girls and boys imagine time travel.
