19th Century American Caricature

Text on the meme

Asian 19th century depiction of an American

What it means

A historical Asian illustration caricatures an American with exaggerated facial features, shown beside a furious black-and-white rage comic face. The joke is that the old depiction looks uncannily like an over-the-top internet reaction image, so it is sent to express extreme anger or disbelief.
