25 YEARS LATER
A green Pepe the Frog sits in a surreal red room beside a pale masked figure, black furniture, a pink statue and a small frog. Twenty-five years later, Pepe has seemingly aged into a tree, parodying the time jump and eerie visual style of Twin Peaks: The Return. The meme is used as an absurd reaction to waiting an extremely long time for something.
