Laughing at the Wrong Time

Text on the meme

When the king is being yelled at by the queen and the court jester just fell on his ass but if you laugh you’ll be executed

What it means

A medieval-looking armored man stands in a castle court while his expression slowly changes from stoic to barely contained laughter. The caption jokes about trying not to laugh while the king is being yelled at and a jester falls, because laughing would supposedly get you executed. The clip is set to “Medieval Melody” by Nimbora, a medieval-style instrumental whose dramatic, old-world mood makes the absurdly tense situation funnier.
