Two Horses in the Mist

Two horses playing in a misty field for over 4 minutes

Two horses slowly run and nuzzle each other in a foggy field beside a fence, while the caption claims they have been playing for over four minutes. The deliberately uneventful footage becomes funny through its absurdly long, uneventful premise, paired with Mazzy Star’s melancholic song “Cry, Cry,” which makes the horses’ ordinary interaction feel dramatically profound. It works as a reaction to situations that are boring, overly prolonged, strangely calming, or treated with excessive seriousness.
