"There’s no gal who’s kind to otaku, nor is there a childhood friend who turned out to be a girl when we reunited after a long time. There’s also no girl who, despite being plain in class, is actually an idol, and no girl sitting next to me who occasionally flirts in Russian."

EN: Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph laments that the idealized girls common in otaku fiction do not exist in real life. The meme lists familiar character tropes—a gal who is kind to otaku, a childhood friend who turns out to be a girl, a hidden idol, and a desk neighbor who flirts in Russian—to joke about the gap between fiction and reality. It is used as a reaction to unrealistic heroine fantasies or disappointing real-life romance.
