Iggy Pop Exits in a Coffin

Iggy Pop exits his Coachella set in a coffin

Iggy Pop performs onstage at Coachella, theatrically emerging from a bright red coffin while holding a brass instrument, then climbing back inside as crew members close it and carry it away. The joke is the exaggeratedly literal “exit” from his set, made even funnier by the macabre stage prop and the energetic rock soundtrack: Iggy Pop’s “The Passenger,” a post-punk rock song, turns the coffin departure into a dramatic, absurd finale.
