Online Persona Meets In Person
" i want to meet you in person" me on telegram: me in person:
A split-screen video contrasts a shy, cute green-haired anime-style avatar labeled “me on telegram” with a real man in a patterned shirt drinking from a glass and animatedly mouthing along on the right, labeled “me in person.” The joke is about people presenting an attractive or composed persona online but appearing awkward, intense, or completely different face-to-face; Aphex Twin’s dreamy ambient techno track “Xtal” adds an oddly serene, surreal mood that makes the contrast funnier.
