Companies Ruin Technical Interviews

A buddy who is looking for work (excellent dev) was telling me about his experience doing technical interviews and take-home tests these days. Y’all are wild. Literally the most asinine ways to do a tech screen, that’s what is being put forward. Literally none of it has to do with the job either. Why are you companies so bad at this? Spend a week designing a good interview process, like we did, and put some thought into it. These people you’re hiring are your future company. Why are you screwing this up...through sheer incompetence? Laziness? Malice?
