Discord IP Address Argument

there is absolutely no way to grab someone's ip with a discord.gg link. the best you could do is buy something like discord .gg and use that I don’t know how to tell you that every website logs your IP and there are ways to check those logs. All these people saying hyperlinks and false domains are really showing how tech literacy has slipped in the past decade or so. you’re telling me you have access to discords logs???? I guess it’s not just tech literacy that’s slipping. Have a good day, stay in school, feel free to respond when you’ve actually read what I’ve said instead of being a reactionary moron.

A Twitter thread shows two users arguing about whether a Discord invite link can reveal someone’s IP address. One person claims it is impossible, while the other explains that websites log IP addresses and sarcastically tells them to read more carefully. The joke is the escalating misunderstanding and the final insult, making it useful as a reaction to confidently wrong internet arguments.
