DIY Gene Editing Hobby

Text on the meme

Anybody else into DIY gene editing? I've been doing diy gene sequencing and editing on myself. My room is full of lab equipment for my self genetic modding projects. I was just wondering if anyone else shares this hobby?

What it means

A forum post shows a person jokingly claiming to perform DIY gene sequencing and genetic editing on themselves, with a small image of a molecular or protein structure. The punchline is the absurdly dangerous and technically advanced hobby presented as casual room-based DIY, making it a reaction to extreme biohacking or over-the-top self-experimentation.
