Hand Repetition Soothing, Computer Infuriating
why is doing repetitive things by hand so soothing and repetitive things by computer so infuriating. i’m doing cross stitching and it’s just the same motion over and over again and i can’t imagine doing anything this tedious on a computer, i’d throw the computer out the window
A social media post jokes that repetitive manual tasks like cross-stitching feel calming, while doing equally repetitive work on a computer feels unbearably frustrating. It is used as a relatable reaction to the different emotional experience of analog crafts versus digital tasks.
