New York apartment tour

Text on the meme

People in New York be like “yeah we can hang out at my place” FORN

What it means

A video tours a series of absurdly cramped New York living spaces: a narrow kitchen, a tiny hidden room, an almost empty room, and a bedroom squeezed against a brick wall. The punchline is that “my place” is comically small and impractical, exaggerating the stereotype of expensive, cramped New York apartments. Frank Sinatra’s grand, triumphant “Theme From New York, New York” plays over the footage, making the tiny spaces feel dramatically prestigious and heightening the irony.
