Bypassing Mobile Data Throttling

Daily reminder that cell data providers prioritize traffic to speedtest[.]net and there's absolutely nothing stopping you from registering a VPS you own to the pool of speedtest servers and also running a VPN on it, allowing you to bypass throttling and often have 0GB plan usage.

A screenshot of a social media post explains that mobile data providers prioritize traffic to speedtest.net. The joke is that users can exploit this by adding their own VPS to the speed-test server pool and routing VPN traffic through it to bypass throttling, sometimes using no data from their plan. It is shared as a humorous, overly technical workaround for mobile data limits. EN: A screenshot of a social media post explains that mobile data providers prioritize traffic to speedtest.net.
