Do not buy, doesn't run, dev openly said doesn't support it anymore Title says all, save yourself some disappointment and don't give someone money who doesn't care about their game Yeah, little buddy. I no longer provide support for my 6-year-old $1.50 VR game. When someone makes a little video game and puts it out for a pittance it’s not a promise to you, six years later, that it’s still going to work on all your hardware that didn’t exist at the time. What’d you think? Developers don’t have to eat? VR hardware and software never changes out from underneath them? I should keep throwing hours of free labour into an unprofitable game from half a decade ago instead of spending those hours on work that pays because: what, you think what you hit "Sort By Price (Lowest First)" on the VR category you're entitled to an endless buffet of eternally-maintained games for a platform nobody owns? Also, works on my machine.
What it means

A screenshot shows a developer defending the lack of support for a six-year-old $1.50 VR game after a user warns others not to buy it. The developer sarcastically argues that cheap experimental games are not guaranteed to work forever on future hardware and that developers need to spend time on profitable work. It is used as a reaction to entitlement from customers demanding indefinite updates for an inexpensive game.
