Live Coding Without Internet

That says everything about tech interviews. 30+ years of experience, multiple recommendations and still being asked to live code *without* access to the internet. WTF is love coding for seniors/leads So looking for a new job, have been at 3 places in 24 years, at a senior and lead level never been asked to live code. Honestly, what type of company asks someone with 30+ years of experience, multiple recommendations and tons of code going to ask someone to live code without the usual google searches and stack overflow. Just want to see what I can do on the spot without any help regardless of 3 decades of experience, how is that relevant in any way to what happened daily in a scrum or waterfall situation? Need a rest or soap API, I can copy and paste prior production proven services. WCF same thing, but in my interview, I cannot use anything prior?!?!? If this is a "requirement" will destroy any argument they have and move on to a realistic company. 132 135 Share Award
