Beware of the VR Pipeline
BEWARE OF THE PIPELINE 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021
A progression meme shows increasingly advanced VR headsets above an androgynous character becoming more feminine and fashionably styled from 2016 to 2021. The joke is that getting into virtual reality can lead someone down a humorous “pipeline” of increasingly immersive hardware and gender expression, so it is shared as a playful warning about escalating interests and transformation.
