Game Programmers Hate Their Creations
Game programmers always think they're smarter than everyone else, yet their creations are the most broken abominations of software I've ever worked on or used. And one recent release is a great example. std::filesystem throws exceptions with no way to disable them? Does the C++ committee know that games disable RTTI and exceptions?
A dark-mode screenshot of a social media post criticizes game programmers for creating broken software, followed by a quoted post complaining about C++ std::filesystem exceptions and games disabling RTTI and exceptions. The joke is a sarcastic programmer reaction to a recent release that embodies frustrating software design decisions.
