Flying Cars in 2017
1980: I bet we’ll have flying cars in the future 2017:
A baby sits in a crib while a homemade mechanical contraption carries a bottle toward it, then pulls away. The joke contrasts futuristic predictions about flying cars with a ridiculous low-tech invention that technically flies or moves a baby’s bottle, making it a reaction to disappointing technological progress.
