ZIP Files Become Postcodes

Lol, my fellow brits using Windows 11 with en-GB in the Insider Program might have noticed that MS has mistranslated ZIP files as "postcode" files in the latest builds. Open Enter Add to Favorites Compress to postcode file Copy as path Ctrl+Shift+C Properties Alt+Enter OneDrive Show more options

A Windows 11 context menu shows the option “Compress to postcode file” instead of “Compress to ZIP file.” The joke is about British English localization mistranslating the American term “ZIP file” as “postcode,” creating an absurdly literal error that UK Windows Insider users might encounter.
