A meme shows the Rust programming language logo beneath the caption “WHEN YOU TRY Rust FOR THE FIRST TIME,” followed by a cartoon farm scene captioned “Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal.” The joke refers to Rust’s strict compiler and borrow checker, which reject many beginner programming attempts with errors, making the language feel overly restrictive.
