What it means

A boxed VHS collection of the documentary television series Connections, hosted by James Burke, is arranged on a dark surface. The joke comes from the dramatic lightning-like graphic cutting across the word “CONNECTIONS,” making the otherwise ordinary vintage box set look strangely ominous and surreal.
