Sandblasting a Cucumber
Sandblasting a cucumber
A cucumber is placed in a metal basket and blasted with abrasive sand until it becomes obscured and disappears in a cloud of dust. The joke comes from treating an ordinary cucumber as if it were a serious industrial sandblasting project, with the loud hissing spray making the absurd process feel strangely dramatic. It works as a reaction to excessive effort, pointless destruction, or an unexpectedly intense solution to a simple problem.
