Credit Card Fraud
Credit card fraud Black neon tetras committed credit card fraud during a 2023 live stream by "Mutekimaru Channel" on YouTube. The owner was using motion-tracking software turn fish movements into Nintendo Switch inputs, letting them "play" video games.[7][8] On January 14, 2023, Pokémon Violet crashed at 1144 hours, giving the fish free access to the main menu. They entered inputs that opened Nintendo eShop, added 500 yen ($3.85 USD) to Mutekimaru's account, and exposed his credit card details on the stream.[9] [10] Mutekimaru later requested a refund of the 500 yen from Nintendo.[11]
The image is a screenshot of an encyclopedia-style article about black neon tetras controlling a Nintendo Switch through motion-tracking software. When Pokémon Violet crashed, the fish accidentally opened the Nintendo eShop, charged 500 yen to the owner’s account, and exposed his credit card details on stream. The joke is that the fish committed literal credit card fraud, making this a humorous reaction to accidental purchases or chaotic technology.
