Sailing Ships Caused Scurvy

We need to go back to using sailing ships full time like immediately. Yes it would take longer to get places but the Aesthetic is unmatched Like there is nothing sexier than this Can’t wait for OP to get scurvy Are you under the impression that the ships themselves are what caused scurvy Weren’t these ships used for colonizing India and the slave trade??? Once again. Do you think this is the fault of the ships themselves #tumblr users will try to make any ship problematic

A screenshot of a humorous social media thread showing photos of ornate sailing ships. One person romanticizes returning to sailing ships, another jokes about getting scurvy, and replies point out the ships’ connection to colonialism and the slave trade. The punchline is the sarcastic defense of the ships themselves and the final joke that Tumblr users make every ship problematic.
