The Illusion of Free Choice

Text on the meme

The illusion... weird shit axiom of choice no axiom of choice ...of free choice.

What it means

A black-and-white philosophical cartoon shows a cow standing before a path split between “axiom of choice” and “no axiom of choice,” both leading toward “weird shit.” The joke treats the mathematical axiom of choice as an illusion of free will, suggesting that every logical route ends in bizarre consequences. It is used as a reaction to confusing, overly abstract, or absurd philosophical and mathematical reasoning.
