A collage of bizarre conspiracy-themed and dystopian images by David Dees is presented above an anonymous forum post declaring that Dees was the Van Gogh of his generation. The joke is sarcastic, mocking the grandiose praise of Dees’s surreal propaganda-style artwork and comparing it to fine art. It is used as a reaction to absurd conspiracy imagery or exaggerated admiration for a controversial internet artist.
