A young man first appears alongside a friendly-looking anthropomorphic orange-brown book character, labeled “what they see.” The video then reveals the unseen reality: the character attacks and overpowers him in chaotic indoor scenes, while the caption says “never judge a book by its cover..” The joke twists the familiar moral into a literal gag, made more dramatic and absurd by the moody music from Cults — “Gilded Lily (Mixed).”
