Many things have gone wrong with the cyberpunk dream, but the ability to instantly download a scientific paper from a sketchy website in Russia is probably the best thing we still have.

What it means

A fictional Twitter post jokes that although the cyberpunk future has disappointed us, one futuristic convenience remains: instantly downloading scientific papers from a dubious Russian website. The humor comes from treating academic piracy as the best surviving part of a failed technological dream.
