GTA NPC Hears a Gunshot

Normal People After Hearing A Gunshot GTA NPC After Hearing A Gunshot

What it means

A woman walks through a sunny courtyard under the caption “Normal People After Hearing A Gunshot,” then the clip switches to “GTA NPC After Hearing A Gunshot” as she abruptly runs, turns, pauses, and follows a stiff, looping game-character path before disappearing. The joke compares a normal person’s instinctive reaction to danger with the exaggerated, oddly mechanical behavior of a Grand Theft Auto NPC. Michael Hunter’s “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Official Theme Song)”—a moody, energetic West Coast hip-hop/video-game soundtrack theme—makes the transformation feel like a dramatic GTA gameplay moment and heightens the absurdity.
