A surreal, low-resolution music-video-style clip follows a man in a bright yellow outfit as he knocks at a door, appears with two onlookers, walks through an urban alley, confronts a bruised man, and then lies motionless on cardboard beside flowers. The absurd sequence cuts to a close-up of a mustard-covered hot dog and ends as a brightly colored commercial urging viewers to “BUY THE MUSTARD.” The bouncy pizzicato/zither-like music makes the increasingly grim and nonsensical images feel deadpan and comedic, turning the clip into a surreal reaction meme about an inexplicable yellow-man story that culminates in an ad.
