SPEC OPS THE LINE

What it means

A cinematic montage from Spec Ops: The Line follows a soldier crossing endless desert dunes, wrecked military vehicles and aircraft, a ruined city with an American flag, dead or exhausted soldiers, civilians in chaos, and grotesque battlefield survivors before ending in a red, apocalyptic wasteland. Alice in Chains’ grunge song “Rooster” gives the sequence a mournful, ominous mood, turning the patriotic war imagery into an indictment of military destruction and psychological trauma. The clip works as a dark reaction to a disastrous mission, war fatigue, or feeling like everything has spiraled into hell.
