Gimli Won’t Fight Beside a Taig

Text on the meme

Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with a taig You won't. I'm staying home.

What it means

Gimli from The Lord of the Rings appears beside a masked figure amid British and Irish flags. The joke twists the famous fellowship quote into a sectarian pun, with the masked character refusing to fight alongside a “taig” and choosing to stay home. It is used as an edgy reaction to political or sectarian conflict. EN: Gimli from The Lord of the Rings appears beside a masked figure amid British and Irish flags.
