Link's Modern Design Is Greg
Original art by Yusuke Nakano The ‘modern’ design NINTENDO 64 NINTENDO 3DS Adaptations 1 & 2 Homunculus named Greg
The meme compares Link’s classic Nintendo 64 and Nintendo 3DS designs with a darker, more realistic modern design, which is shown as a strange crouching homunculus. The joke mocks redesigns that become technically detailed but lose the charm and recognizable style of the original character, making this useful as a reaction to an unsettling remake or adaptation.
